New Castle Will X Vol 1 p 142 The last will and testament of Maria Guthrie of New Castle It is my will that my personal estate be divided into four equal parts, one of which parts, I give and bequeath to each of my children. The one equal fourth part of my personal estate, however, which shall belong to my daughter Susan, I give to my son Samuel in trust, to invest the same in good securities, personal or public, and the net interest and profits thereof, to pay over from time to time to my said daughter Susan to her sole and separate use, during the joint lives of her and her husband; and if she should her said husband, then to deliver over and pay over the said securities and the interests and profits thereof, to my said daughter for her own use and behoofs, and if she should die in the lifetime of her said husband, leaving children, then to deliver and pay over the same with the interests and profits thereof to such of her children as shall survive and if she should die in the lifetime of her said husband without leaving children, then after her death to deliver and pay over the same to the brothers and sisters of her the said Susan in equal proportion. -- My Real Estate being the house in which I now reside, and the lot on which it is built and also the furniture thereof, I give and bequeath and devise to my son Samuel to him and his heirs forever. And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said son to be the executor of this my last Will and Testament. -- In Witness, whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty third day of August in the year of Our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight.
