New Castle Wills W vol 2 p 66

The last Will of Samuel Guthrie of the City of
New Castle in the State of Delaware
  I give and bequeath to my niece Maria G wife
of William J. Fisher of Wilmington Eight Thousand
Dollars and I desire my Executor to pay the legacy
and ?recursion ?taxes this required by the United States
and this State upon this and the other legacies
herein mentioned out of the general funds coming
into his hands.
  I grant and bequeath to my sister Susan G. Widow
of Isaac P. Wendell of Philadelphia the sum of
Fifteen Thousand dollars in consideration of the
affections past and present
    I give and bequeath to Mrs. Sara A Mason
my housekeeper and nurse one Thousand  Dollars
in recognition of her attention and conduct in the manage-
ment of my house and person done in ?? to my
entire satisfaction during many years and through a
rather severe illness.
   All the rest residue and remains of my estate I
give devise and bequeath to my nephew Samuel G. Cleaver
son of Mark M Cleaver of Wilmington and appoint him
as Executor of this my last will which I declare
to be such having revoked and cancelled any and
all other wills by me at any times heretofore made.
